Well the migration back to HostPapa is pretty much complete. I have to switch the registrar for two of the domains (from Network Solutions to HostPapa).
Meanwhile; back in the office I am transferring the last of the backup files to the new external drive. The old server was cleared and I attempted to get MS Windows back on it – but my install USB seems to be corrupt. So I installed the latest openSuSe and decided to sell it and keep the even older laptop. The thinking is that this particular laptop has all of the software on it already and is easy to store away or take to the boat etc.
I could not use the copied subversion repo as the storage format is not supported by the default centOS version of the new server. The HostPapa guys who did the migration made an effort but I decided to let it go. I will keep the old repo in backup but I doubt I will need to use it. I created a new repo and imported all of the code at its current state. Good to go!
So back to coding.
It appears that Maggie failed to tighten the gas cap on her car. This triggered a ‘check engine’ light and for the car to be ‘grounded’ until sorted. Coincidentally Maggie needed to do some errands today. This meant that driving to/from Sechelt dominated my day. Mavis suffered as she did not get two of her walks today – just some time in the backyard.
Molly likes to watch scary shows/movies from time-to-time. Well I guess she went a bit too far. She could not sleep as she was worried about being kidnapped. I hopped into bed with her to help her sleep – I promptly fell asleep. I awoke in the middle of the night and made my way to my bed, stripped (as I do) and jumped in with Valerie. Molly hung out with Max after school – I picked her up around dinner time.
