Maggie and Seb packed up the Jag last night. They managed to get everything Maggie wanted in there. The exchange student (Majo) arrived in the evening. There was a bit of a gathering of friends to welcome Majo.
Valerie, Maggie and I hopped into the Jag this morning and started our journey to Victoria. No problems catching the ferries. Many kids Maggie’s age on the second ferry – heading to school just like Maggie. It was easy to see how many hotels near the schools would be booked up.
Plans for Victoria changed last minute but Valerie was able to book us into a hotel – a nice one at that. We stopped to do some shopping along the way. I realized that it had been more than 2 years since the last time I was in a proper shopping mall and about 5 years since I was last in Victoria. Maggie found some bedding that should work for her.
Maggie went to hang out with a friend (from Sechelt and now living in Victoria) for the evening. Valerie and I did a bit of a drive-about to check out some of the pockets of old historic homes/communities near downtown.
