Another great morning coding. Its 1pm – time to switch to the deck project.
Earthquake? Tsunami?
I was worried about Half Shell because we have been having a lot of rain and the inside of the boat has; twigs, pine needles and the like in it (needs a cleaning). Pine needles, in particular, can clog up the 3 holes that allow the water to run from the deck to the bilge….
Boat Afloat!
I guess there was some pretty strong wind in the night (night before last) because Half Shell’s bow line came undone and the boat floated free. I was contacted by a neighbour mid afternoon with a notice that Half Shell was on the beach and full of water. I got to the boat just as…
Water Proof
Well almost. Troughs are installed in most of the deck bays. I am doing about 2/3 of the deck at the moment – saving the other 1/3 for work space. Then I will switch. Anyway; the troughs are preventing virtually all of the water from making its way to the lower deck but I have…
SlickEdit 2012 v17.0.2.0

So I looked at alternatives such as; Qt Creator, and Eclipse. After a week or so of trying to convince myself that I could get used to…
J24 Bulk Head Repair
The J24 is up for sale and a potential buyer had a look and found a small bit of ‘softness’ in the bulk head. He left with no decision on whether to buy her or not. In the meantime; I have decided that it needs to be sorted. I was hopeful that a patch would…
Deck Pleasure
$1000 of rubber arrived today. This gets me back on to deck project. The plan is to pull up all of the boards and install rubber troughs in the bays to channel water away. Posted from iPhone using WordPress for iOS.
Goodbye Facebook
I ‘closed’ my Facebook account some years ago when Facebook announced that they would own all of the information/media that was uploaded to their site. I was convinced to start using Facebook again – about a year later. I was convinced by some old friends who were networking (catching up) on Facebook. So fast forward…
WordPress for iOS
I am playing with WordPress for iOS from AUTOMATTIC. My first impression is that this is very slick. Look for more comments on this later.
